All these candidates need to appear for JEE Main which is one of the renowned entrance exams in India. This exam is an important gateway of any candidate who aspires to be an engineer. JEE Main which stands for Joint Entrance Exam Main will be organized by National Test Agency. Previously, the exam was conducted by CBSE. JEE Main is a national level exam which grants admission to various courses which include B.E, B.Tech, B.Plan and B.Arch. As per the new decision of HRD Ministry, the JEE Mains will be conducted twice every year.

JEE Main 2020 Exam Dates
As per new rules, the exam will be conducted twice in a year. So there is a lot of confusion regarding the dates of various events. So here we are sharing all the available information with our readers.
The application form for January session will release in the 1st week of September 2019. The candidates will have ample of time to fill their forms. The last day of form filling is expected to be last week of September 2019. The application form correction window opens in 1st week of October to last week of October. The admit cards for JEE Main 2020 will be made available in December 2019. The exam for January session will be conducted in 1st to 3rd week of January 2020 with results in last week of January 2020.
The application form for April session will release in the 2nd week of February 2020. The candidates will have ample of time to fill their forms. The last day of form filling is expected to be last week of February 2020. The application form correction window opens in 1st week of March to 3rd week of March. The admit cards for JEE Main 2020 will be made available in last week of March 2020. The exam for April session will be conducted in 1st to 3rd week of April 2020 with results in last week of April 2020.
JEE Main 2020 Application Form
The application form for JEE Main will be available online. The application form cannot be filled offline in any case. The application form for January session will release in September 2019 while application form for April session will release in February 2020. While filling up the forms, the candidate must keep their scanned images of photograph and signature ready. It is important to upload these images. The candidates who wish to appear for JEE Main 2020 must have their Aadhaar Card or Aadhaar Card enrollment number. The last day of form filling for January session will be 2019 September last week while for the April session, the last date would be the first week of March 2020.
➦It is mandatory to pay the application fee. The application form is considered incomplete if payment is not done.
➦The application fee for JEE Main 2020 will be different depending on the category and mode of exam.
➦ The payment can be done using a debit/credit card or e-challan of Syndicate/Canara/ICICI bank.
➦ The application form fee cannot be paid using DD, money order, IPO
➦ The candidates must note that the application fee is non-refundable.
JEE Main Application Form Correction Window:
The candidates will be able to make corrections to their details in application form during the correction window. The correction window for JEE Main will open in December for January session. Whereas the correction window will open in February for April session.
The candidates can make changes to their application form online only. They need to pay an additional amount to make corrections in the form.
JEE Main 2020 Exam Pattern
Exam Pattern For JEE Main Paper 1
➦ The JEE Main 2020 exam will be conducted online.
➦ Total 90 questions would be asked during the exam. These 90 questions will be equally distributed – 30 questions each Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry.
➦ All questions will be multiple choice questions with four options.
➦ Total 3 hours are allotted for the exam. Extra 1 hour time will be provided for candidates with 40% disability.
➦ Paper 1 will be of total 360 marks.
➦ 4 marks will be awarded for every correct answer while 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
Exam Pattern For JEE Main Paper 2
➦ The JEE Main Paper 2 will be conducted offline.
➦ Paper 2 will consist of total 82 questions.
➦ Paper 2 will be objective as well as subjective type.
➦ Mathematics and aptitude section will be objective while drawing test will be subjective.
➦The exam duration will be 3 hours for Paper 2.
➦ The marking scheme will be same. 4 marks for correct answer and one mark deduction for every wrong answer.
JEE Main 2020 Syllabus
The JEE Main will have two section – Section I and Section II. Section I will be for B.Tech and B.E. candidates. The first paper will have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The syllabus for these three subjects would be 11th & 12th standard.
While section II will be for candidates who wish to pursue B.Arch and B.Plan. For all these candidates, questions will be asked on Mathematics, Aptitude Test and Drawing.
JEE Main 2020 Eligibility Criteria
It is important for every candidate to meet the minimum eligibility criteria set by NTA. These eligibility criteria’s are basic which includes age, qualification marks and nationality. Check out the details of JEE main 2020 Eligibility Criteria.
➦ The candidates must be born on or after 1st October 1994.
➦ For SC/ST and PWD candidates, DOB should be on or after 1st October 1989.
➦ The maximum of three attempts is allowed for any candidate.
➦ Irrespective of the category, the above rule is the same for all category.
➦ For JEE Advance, the candidates can appear for a maximum of two consecutive years.
➦ There are no minimum marks required for JEE Main 2020.
➦ The candidates must have passed 12th in 2018 or 2019. The candidates appearing for 12th exam in 2020 can appear for JEE Main 2020.
➦ For B.Tech or BE, the candidates must have Physics, Mathematics and any one of Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational in their 12th exam.
JEE Main 2020 Admit Card
The admit card for JEE Main 2020 January and April session will be available in the month of December and February respectively. The admit cards will be available online on the official website of NTA. The candidates must download their admit cards and take their printouts. It is mandatory for all candidates to carry admit card along with valid ID proof during the exam. No candidate will be permitted to exam hall without admit card.
JEE Main 2020 Result
The result of JEE Main exam is usually announced 1 or 2 weeks after the exam. So the candidates can expect their result in last week of January and last week of April for both January and April session respectively. The result will be announced online. The result will not be dispatched to any individual candidate by NTA. The candidates must download and keep the printout of their result till their admission.
