GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. It is a national level PG Engineering Entrance exam. This is one of the important exam in the life of an engineer. Many government and private sector companies consider GATE scores while recruiting engineers. The upcoming GATE 2020 will be conducted jointly by Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and 7 IITs. GATE 2020 Application Form, Registration
The registration of GATE will begin as soon as the application forms are released online. The GATE 2020 Application Form are expected to release in the 1st week of September 2019. While form filling procedure, the candidates must keep the photo copies of signature, category certificate and certificate of qualifying exam. It is necessary to upload all these documents while form filling. The students must have latest passport size photo as well. The candidates must enter their personal, educational and contact information carefully.
It is mandatory for every candidate to mention the number of any of the following document:
- PAN Card
- Aadhar Card
- Voter ID
- College ID
- Employee ID
- Driving License
GATE 2020 Application Fee
Every candidate who is filling up the form, it is mandatory to pay application form fee. The form fee has to be paid online only. The application fee varies from ₹750 to $100 depending on the category and country. Check out the table below:

GATE 2020 Eligibility Criteria
There are some basic eligibility criteria set by the authorities. These criterias need to be fulfilled by the candidate in order to appear for exam. GATE 2020 Exam Pattern
The GATE exam which stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is conducted for 23 subjects. The GATE 2020 will be conducted online. Total 65 objective questions would be asked in the exam. The objective questions will include multiple choice questions and numerical. The candidates would be assigned 3 hours to solve these questions. The GATE 2020 will be conducted in two sessions – Morning (9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon) & afternoon (2:00 PM to 5:00 PM). The question paper will carry total 100 marks for 65 questions. This means few questions will carry one mark while few will carry 2 marks.
GATE 2020 Syllabus

GATE 2020 Admit Card
The candidates who fill the GATE 2020 Application Form will get their admit cards. The admit cards for GATE 2020 will be available online by entering your enrollment number and password. No admit cards would be sent via email or post. The window to download Admit cards will begin in January 2020. The candidates must download and take color print of Admit card. The candidates must check if all details are mentioned correctly on the admit card. If any mistakes are found, contact the officials of GATE. The candidates are expected to bring an ID card along with the admit card to the exam hall.
GATE 2020 Result
The result of GATE 2020 will be announced somewhere in March 2020. The result will be announced online. The result can be viewed by entering the enrollment number/registration number and date of birth. No candidate will get his/her result in offline mode via post or courier. The GATE score is valid for three years. The candidates can download their scorecard in the allotted time. If they fail to download their scorecard in that time slot, the candidates need to pay ₹500 to get the soft copy.
