Since the exam is conducted twice in a year, there is lot of confusion between the students regarding dates. So here we are sharing the complete details of exam dates, application form, syllabus, eligibility criteria and much more.
DNB CET 2020 Exam Dates
The Diplomate National Board Centralized Entrance Test is conducted twice in a year. Here we are sharing the exam dates for both exams which are scheduled to be conducted in the year 2020. Note that this is a tentative timetable and the dates will be updated as official announcements are made.
DNB CET Exam Dates For January 2020
The online registration process for the January session will begin in December 2019. The online application process will commence in last week of December 2019. The authorities will issue the admit cards in January 2020. Both the exam and result process will be done in January 2020. The
DNB CET Exam Dates For July 2020
The online registration process for the July session will begin in the 2nd week of May 2020. The online application process will commence in last week of May 2020. The authorities will issue the admit cards in the 3rd week of June 2020. The exam will be held in last week of June 2020. The result of the July session will be announced in the 3rd week of July 2020.
DNB CET 2020 Application Form
Here we are sharing few important points which every candidate appearing for DNB CET must know:
➦ The NBE will issue the application forms twice every year ie. in June and December.
➦ The candidates need to strictly fill the application form online. There is no offline mode to fill up the DNB CET 2020 Application Form.
➦ The form filling will begin in first week of December for January exam and first week of May for June session.
➦ Every candidate must select the exam center along with time and date carefully. There are no provisions of making changes later.
➦ The candidates are required to upload scanned copies of signature and recent passport size photograph.
➦ If the form is filled incomplete, it is liable to rejection.
➦ After the submission of form, candidates must take the print out of the application form as a precaution.
Application Form Fee
The application fee for DNB CET is ₹4500. The amount must be paid online via net banking/credit/debit cards. Note that this amount is non-refundable.
DNB CET Syllabus 2020
The DNB CET question paper consists of two sections: Part A and Part B. The syllabus for DNB CET 2020 will contain the chapters approved by the officials of Medical Council of India. The prescribed topics are also approved by Government of India.
Part A will cover questions from the subjects of Forensic Medicine, Ophthalmology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology and Microbiology.

DNB CET 2020 Exam Pattern
- The exam will be conducted online mode only.
- Total 180 questions will be asked in the exam
- The candidates will have 3 hours to solve this question paper.
- The question paper will be available in English only.
- 4 marks will be awarded for correct answer.
- The exam consists negative marking. 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
- All 180 questions will be based on Applied basic sciences, clinical practice, and Recent advances.
DNB CET 2020 Eligibility Criteria
Every exam has its own eligibility criteria and when it comes to medical exams, eligibility criteria are more strict. Lets check out the norms set by authorities:
➦ The candidates applying for DNB CET must hold the MBBS and MD/MS Degree approved by Medical Council of India.
➦The candidate must be Indian national.
➦ The candidates must hold their PG Medical degree/pass provisional certificate by 31st August 2019.
➦ The candidates must have completed their 3 years of rotatory training by 31st August 2019.
DNB CET 2020 Admit Card
➦ The admit card of DNB CET will be made available on official website.
➦ The candidate needs to enter their Username & Password
➦ The admit card for January exam will be released few days before the exam in January. While for July session, admit card will be issued in last week of June.
➦ The candidates need to take the print out of the admit card and keep with them till admission process is complete.
DNB CET 2020 Result
The results for DNB CET January exam will be announced in the third week of January 2020 while the results for July exam will be announced in third week of July 2020. The results of DNB CET will be released online on the official website of NBE. The candidates can check their results by entering their ID and date of birth.
The candidates must save and take a print out of their mark list. The mark list will be used for further admission process.
DNB CET 2020 Counselling
After the declaration of results, the officials will organize a centralized admission procedure for all qualified candidates. All the candidates who apply for counselling must have cleared the qualification criteria and seat allocation criteria. A counselling fee of ₹2500 is mandatory for all candidates participating in the counseling procedure.
