National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the JEE MAIN exam. This is a very important examination for candidates who want to pursue a career in the fields related to engineering. Candidates who pass JEE MAIN can get admissions in national Institutes of technology or institutions that are centrally funded. Another reason why JEE MAIN is really important is, the candidates who clear JEE MAIN can appear for jee advance and after clearing jee advance, they can get admissions in Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
For such exams, there are certain rules and regulations for candidates regarding their dress code. There is no official dress code declared for JEE MAIN but here, in this article, some standard guidelines for dress code are given in order to help candidates during JEE MAIN.

JEE MAIN Dress Code For Boys
Here are some rules and regulations that will be helpful for male candidates during JEE MAIN exam regarding their dress code. Male candidates should wear light color clothes as dark-colored clothes are not allowed. Fancy pants, jeans and shirts are not allowed. Clothes with half sleeves are recommended as clothes with full sleeves are not allowed. Male candidates can not wear kurta pajamas to the exam. Shoes are not allowed during JEE MAIN for male candidates, therefore slippers and sandals with a flat sole are recommended.
JEE MAIN Dress Code For Girls
Just like male candidates have a dress code for JEE MAIN, female candidates also have some rules that are supposed to follow by them regarding dress code during JEE MAIN. Female candidates should preferably wear light color clothes with half sleeves. Clothes with full sleeves should be avoided. Dresses that female candidates wear should not have big buttons, badges, flowers or other decorative accessories. The rules regarding footwear are the same for male as well as female candidates which means shoes are not allowed and slippers or sandals are recommended.
